Welcome to the Washington European Society (WES). WES is a community and an informal network of young working professionals interested in European affairs, politics, culture, history, security, and languages.

WES’s mission is to keep the European social, political and economical debate alive in the D.C. area. WES does this by fostering debates, discussions and mutual networks among young professionals so as to promote friendship and exchange of ideas. We do this by programming social, cultural, and content-based events. Our events are open to all Europeans and Europeans-in-spirit in the Washington DC metro area, whether young professionals or advanced students and scholars.
